I have finally entered the land of Twitter! I made my very own Twitter account a few days ago after admiring the website from afar for a couple of years. If you'd like to follow me, just search me up, @chrispytai.
To be honest, I probably won't really be tweeting much at all. The main reason I got it was to keep up with the people around me, get good offers from my favorite restaurants, and also follow musicians/YouTube channel people that I like. So if you decide to follow me, don't expect too much!
Ever since I was young, my parents have always been very strict about anything involving screens/accounts. I remember distinctly that I was one of the rare few that did not have a Facebook in middle school. My parents believed that I wasn't mature enough to handle my Internet time along with my homework. Also, they are big sticklers to the rules. The websites doesn't permit anyone under 13 to make an account, so of course, the twelve year old me was not allowed to have a Facebook.
No amount of cajoling, begging, or crying would move them to allow me to get a Facebook till freshman year was pretty much over. And they only started to consider letting me get an account after I'd made an agreement that I'd get an A on my biology final. Thank God I studied and got that A!
This time, however, I didn't really need to get good grades to get a Twitter account. The trust of my parents built up over time, and I'm glad for that. Now, I'm finally caught up in the social networking land, haha.
