Hi everyone! Wow. It's truly been half a year since I wrote my last post. I don't know how I should feel about this or how I'm going to get around this rut except to keep on writing.
Now that the school year is finally, finally over, I thought that I'd have more free time on my hands. Evidently, this has not been the case because school for me ended in the beginning of June. It's now almost July and I still haven't conjured up any posts since then. Anyhow, I shall now go on to update anyone who's interested in knowing what in the world I've been doing for the past half year. Here it goes!
January
This may not count for January, but I did attend the onething '13 conference that I enjoyed immensely. The fact that Jesus Culture and Matt Redman were leading worship made all of us get up earlier in the morning to queue for seats closer to the front. On our last day, we managed to get quite close to the stage (the section behind the esteemed white wristbanders). And it also happened that Laura Hackett was having a meet and greet during the conference. Unfortunately, I completely forgot about it and didn't get to meet her. :( Maybe next time!
February
What did go on during this month? Not much that I really remember, except for slaving away at school and trying desperately to stay positive about my grades. Oh, and also getting ready for the badminton season! Good deal, good deal.
March
This was possibly one of the best months of 2014 so far! I got to go to Disney World for a whole week with my high school marching band. We traveled there by coach bus and had quite a wild time visiting all the parks (EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios). My favorite rides were Space Mountain and that really cool roller coaster that I can't remember the name of that goes backwards in the Animal Kingdom. I also really enjoyed visiting the World Showcase in EPCOT. At first, my friends and I didn't realize that the showcase was super big and full of food and stores from different countries, so we just went in to try to find ice cream. Little did we know that we'd spend the whole afternoon there trying to figure out if the employees of the showcase were actually from the country they were showcasing. I also fangirled majorly when I saw an Anna and Elsa meet and greet in the Norway area, but I didn't have time to stand in line to meet them. One thing I wish I'd done: save my money on my dining card so that I could buy all the awesome food in the showcase.
April
This month was spent mainly in competing with my badminton team. I also tried very hard to study for the ACT that came up in the middle of the month, but you must know that I'm very bad at multitasking even in such a big scale. Whether I'm trying to juggle school and sports at the same time or even just talking on the phone and doing homework, I'll kind of fail at one of the things I'm doing.
May
My birthday month! And AP testing! And music auditions! And studying for finals! I really don't know how I got through May. I might've broken down a couple of times, to be honest.
June
And then the end of the school year came by so fast that I can't even remember how it exactly happened. All I know is that I made the drumline again (thank God), I passed my finals, I played music in our school's graduation, and that I'm now going to be a senior. When they said that high school would be the fastest four years of my life, they weren't kidding in the least. Now, I'm in school again (SUMMER school) learning how to drive and how the economy works and affects me. Yay. Yesterday was my last orchestra concert of this year's 13-14 season that took place in this amazing concert hall. The acoustics were absolutely astounding and I'm planning on going back to be in the audience this next time around.
So that concludes my half year. Check out my music and book archives because I have updated them for y'all. I'll be back soon.
